Brandão has worked in São Paulo until moved to NYC in the early 90’s where he attended classes at the Greenwich House Pottery. He opened his first studio at the Garment District starting his long career as a ceramist, decorative painter, object and furniture restorer. Brandão is also curator of distinguished furniture and decorative pieces.
In 2008, he moved to Berlin where opened a studio space in Neukölln and went back to his original passion – ceramics.
Mario Brandão Design Studio is a creative space at its core. Alongside with original pieces, designed and created by its owner, the studio also showcases a large selection of meticulously curated high-end vintage objects such as furniture, vases, sculptures and glass that perfectly compliment Brandão’s highly original inventory.
